Gotham promotes Nicholas D’Agosto to series regular for season 2

May 28, 2015 by James Garcia

Nicholas D’Agosto, who plays a young Harvey Dent on Gotham, has just announced that he’ll not only be returning to the show next season, but has been promoted to series regular:

Thank you to all of you @Gotham and #HarveyDent fans for your enthusiasm. I can't wait to join more of the fun as a regular in Season 2!

— Nicholas D'Agosto 🏳️‍🌈 (@nicholasdagosto) May 27, 2015

D’Agosto made his debut as the young, ambitious Assistant District Attorney about halfway through the first season, and showed up in small guest roles from then on, teaming up with Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) when necessary. His appearances were brief, but he was one of the show’s better cast members, so with plenty more of his story yet to explore as we move forward toward his tragic destiny, this is very good news.

Gotham will return for its second season this fall on Fox.
