Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is involved with Avengers: Infinity War

December 21, 2016 by Gary Collinson

It seems its not just the various superheroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe teaming up for Avengers: Infinity War, as the big superhero ensemble will also feature a collaboration between the directors of the MCU.

During a Periscope Q&A, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn revealed that he is “involved with Infinity War“, although he stopped short of revealing in what capacity.

It is perhaps unsurprising that Gunn will be involved somehow, given that the movie will see the Guardians teaming up with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to do battle with Thanos. Presumably he’ll be consulting on their involvement, and perhaps receiving an executive producer credit, similar to Iron Man director Jon Favreau.
