Henry Golding shares first look at G.I. Joe spinoff Snake Eyes

February 6, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Almost a month into filming on the G.I. Joe spinoff, leading man Henry Golding has shared a first-look image from the Japan set of Snake Eyes, which sees his fan favourite Joe ascending some stone steps towards a temple of some kind, presumably prior to (or during) his training with the Arashikage ninja clan. Looking closely over Snake Eyes’ right shoulder, and we can see what looks to be another ninja – our first glimpse of Storm Shadow, perhaps?

The film is being directed by Robert Schwentke (R.I.P.D.) from a script by Evan Spiliotopoulos (Beauty and the Beast), and features a cast that includes Henry Golding (Last Christmas) as Snake Eyes, Andrew Koji (Warrior) as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais (The Raid) as Hard Master, Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist) as The Baroness, Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) as Scarlett and Haruka Abe (Ideal), Takehiro Hira (Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai) andSteven Allerick (The Expanse) in an as-yet-unrevealed roles.
