Hirokazu Kore-eda’s Monster gets an international trailer, poster and release date

October 5, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Well Go USA Entertainment has dropped an international trailer announcing the release of Broker and Shoplifters director Hirokazu Kore-Eda’s latest, Monster, which won the Best Screenplay award at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and was awarded the highest marks possible in our own ★★★★★ review (which you can read here).

With a stunning score from the late Oscar-winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, Monster stars Sakura Ando, Eita Nagayama, Soya Kurokawa, Hinata Hiiragi, Mitsuki Takahata, Akihiro Kakuta, Shidô Nakamura, and Yûko Tanaka. Check out the international poster and trailer below…

When her young son Minato starts to behave strangely, his mother feels that there is something wrong. Discovering that a teacher is responsible, she storms into the school demanding to know what’s going on. But as the story unfolds through the eyes of mother, teacher and child, the truth gradually emerges.

Monster arrives in U.S. theatres on November 22, and 23 February 2024 in the U.K.
