Holly to return to Red Dwarf, Norman Lovett confirms

February 21, 2017 by Villordsutch

As reported over on Chortle our favourite balding Jupiter Mining Core Computer, who has been going Computer Senile for the past 3 million years or so, is due to make a return to Red Dwarf Series XII in 2017.  This news was let slip by the floating head himself – Norman Lovett – at a recent Leicester Comedy Festival.

Though this news has been known by a fair few people who witnessed the studio tapings for Red Dwarf XII and the fans themselves have given nothing away, that doesn’t really matter now as life has clearly imitated art with Norman doing a Holly and revealing something he shouldn’t have.

Holly made a welcome return to Red Dwarf for Seasons Seven and Eight, however he vanished again to the lower decks come the release of the last few Seasons.  Talk included him not being happy about being written out of Red Dwarf: Back To Earth at the eleventh hour, however now those bridges seem to have been mended and hopefully the water has washed away whatever ashes remained from when they were burnt; his myspace comments were rather blunt.

Whatever has happened in the past it’s great to hear that Holly is back and he’s hopefully kicking bottom.
