How to Create an Anthology 101 with Stephen Coghlan, J.D. Sanderson, and B.K. Bass | The Writer Experience Podcast #97

May 3, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Listen to the latest episode of The Writer Experience…

Stephen Coghlan, J.D. Sanderson, and B.K. Bass were all involved in kyanitepublishing.com/home/catalog/remnants/, an anthology novel consisting of 14 tales of post-apocalyptic survival horror, with Stephen being its creator and the writer of the stories Resistance, A Final Longing, and Against the Darkness, J.D. being the writer of the story First Swarm, and B.K. being the editor.

Hailing from the capital of the Great White North [Canada], Stephen Coghlan spends his days erecting buildings, and his nights reveling in the dreamscape. Since 2017, he has produced a myriad of flash fictions, short stories, novellas and novels, including, but not limited to, the GENMOS Saga, the Nobilis series, and has had his works read on podcasts and featured in anthologies.

J.D. Sanderson lives with his wife, daughter, and mini poodle in South Dakota. A lifelong fan of science fiction, J.D. enjoys writing smaller scale stories that ponder how people deal with both progress and adversity. J.D. is eagerly looking forward to the debut of Around the Dark Dial with Kyanite Publishing. The short story collection is an ode to the 50’s audio dramas he grew up loving as a child.

B.K. Bass is an author of science fiction, fantasy, and horror inspired by the pulp fiction magazines of the early 20th century and classic speculative fiction. He is a student of history with a particular focus on the ancient, classical, and medieval eras. He has a lifetime of experience with a specialization in business management and human relations and served in the U.S. Army. B.K. is also the Acquisitions Director for Kyanite Publishing and the Editor-in-Chief of the Kyanite Press journal of speculative fiction.
