Info regarding Cheetah’s role in Wonder Woman 1984 reportedly revealed as first set photos arrive online

June 14, 2018 by Samuel Brace

New information regarding Kristen Wiig’s villainous Cheetah in Wonder Woman 1984 has reportedly been revealed.

Now that Wonder Woman 1984 has an official title, it’s time to start thinking about the specifics of the film’s plot and the characters that populate it. The sequel’s villain, Cheetah, is set to be played by Kristen Wiig but what exactly will her role be in the film and how will her relationship with Wonder Woman be presented?

Well, according to Vulture reporter Kyle Buchanan, they won’t start out as enemies as the film begins. Taking to Twitter to reveal the information he has, Buchanan said: “Since today is a good day for WONDER WOMAN scoops, I’ve heard that Kristen Wiig starts the sequel as Diana’s friend, not her foe. She emulates Wonder Woman, then seeks to usurp her.”

This would suggest that the character will be portrayed in somewhat of a similar manner as she has been in modern comics. But what do you think? Are you looking forward to seeing Wonder Woman have to perhaps turn against a friend as the film progresses?

Meanwhile, the first set photos from the DC sequel have surfaced online, and you can find them via the link below…
