Iron Fist star Finn Jones wants Heroes for Hire spinoff

March 2, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Finn Jones, the star of Netflix’s upcoming Marvel series Iron Fist, wants to see a Heroes for Hire spinoff.

There can be no doubt that what Netflix has achieved with their Marvel television properties has been impressive indeed. Bringing a gritty sense of realism wherever possible and targeting their content for a more mature audience has helped set this little corner of the MCU apart from all other things Marvel.

Iron Fist is set to continue along in that same vein, hoping to build on the success of Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. However, for the star of this new series, Finn Jones, it seems the solo series and the promise of The Defenders to come is not enough to quench his thirst. The English actor, in an interview with Nerdist, has voiced his desire for a new Heroes for Hire spinoff show to expand the already vast interconnected universe.

“I do think, going back to the Daughters of Dragon thing, I think it would be awesome to see a television series with the Heroes for Hire and the Daughters of Dragon working together to take down crime”.

While it’s certainly a possibility, don’t expect to see a Heroes for Hire series any time soon; the guys and gals over at Marvel and Netflix have a pretty full plate as it is, with new seasons of Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage already confirmed to follow The Defenders.

Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.

Marvel’s Iron Fist hits Netflix on March 17th and sees Finn Jones (Game of Thrones) leading the cast as Danny Rand alongside Jessica Henwick (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) as Colleen Wing, David Wenham (The Lord of the Rings) as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup (90210) as Joy Meachum, Tom Pelphrey (Banshee) as Ward Meachum, Rosario Dawson (Daredevil) as Claire Temple, Carrie-Anne Moss (Jessica Jones) as Jeri Hogarth, Wai Ching Go (Daredevil) as Madame Gao and Lewis Tan (Mortal Kombat: Legacy) as Zhou Cheng.
