Isabel May joins Scream 7 as Sidney’s daughter

November 23, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Ghostface has a new victim to call, and Sidney Prescott’s family is coming to the Scream franchise.

Isabel May will join the upcoming Scream 7 as the daughter of Neve Campbell’s final girl character. Per Deadline, the deal has been locked down to include the 24-year-old actress for this role.

May is best known as Elsa Dutton in the Yellowstone prequel Paramount+ series 1883 and went on to play the character in its continuation series 1923. She’s also attached to star in a new action thriller from filmmaker Takashi Doscher titled Karoshi, opposite Past Lives’ Teo Yoo.

May will join the returning Patrick Dempsey as he’s reported to play Mark Kincaid once more. Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox will also return to the franchise. Cox is now the longest-running member of the Scream cast, while Campbell stepped away for Scream 6.

Kevin Williamson will direct the seventh installment, and Guy Busick will write the script. Project X Entertainment’s James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein are producers.

The six Scream movies have grossed over $908M worldwide and become a massive part of horror pop culture. Even for a franchise that started in the ’90s, the Ghostface costume is essential for the Halloween season, and he has even made his debut in the Mortal Kombat game series.

Scream 7 is set to open on February 27th, 2026.
