It: Chapter Two Comic-Con footage description floats online

July 19, 2018 by Matt Rodgers

It isn’t just Jason Momoa’s Aquaman emerging from the water at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, because one of the first big panels of 2018’s event was to herald the return of Pennywise the Clown from the murky sewers below Derry, as IT: Chapter 2 showcased some footage from the blockbuster sequel.

#Scarediego showed a behind-the-scenes look and brief scene from the currently filming #ITChapter2; it went like this:
Bill Hader: Sup, Losers?
James Ransome: Holy sh*t!
Hader: So what do you guys wanna talk about?

Muschietti: Bring your adult diapers. #SDCC pic.twitter.com/tr9m9DmpN1

Director Andy Muschietti introduced the clip by saying that he wanted to “crank up the horror aspects” for the grownup versions of The Losers’ Club, and then the crowd were treated to a brief glimpse of what he promised would be a “scarier and more intense” movie. He signed off by telling the audience that they’ll need to “bring your adult diapers”.

The footage focused on Derry’s Chinese restaurant, which is where anyone familiar with Stephen King’s novel will know the Losers reunite for the first time after 27 years. First Bill Hader’s Richie is seen greeting the gang with a “Sup, Losers?”, before cutting to James Ransone’s Eddie offering up a “Holy Sh*t”, to which Richie responds “Soooo. What do you guys wanna talk about?”, with the teaser quickly shifting to Skarsgard’s Pennywise for a final jump scare.

It: Chapter Two will see Bill Skarsgard reprising his role as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, while Jessica Chastain (Beverly), James McAvoy (Bill), Bill Hader (Richie), James Ransone (Eddie), Andy Bean (Stanley), Jay Ryan (Ben) and Isaiah Mustafa (Mike) star as the adult versions of The Losers Club. Young stars Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff and Chosen Jacobs are also set to reprise their roles from the first movie in flashback sequences.

It: Chapter Two is set for release on September 6th 2019.
