Jaime Zevallos and Nicholas Turturro unveil Vampire For Hire for Halloween

October 31, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Actor-filmmaker, Jaime Zevallos (Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger) and Nicholas Turturro (Apple TV + Highest 2 Lowest) star in Vampire For Hire, a horror-comedy that sinks its teeth into celebrity culture, digital obsession, and the price of staying relevant. The short will premiere free on YouTube this Halloween, serving as the launching point for a larger series.

Zevallos plays Jim, a once-famous television personality best known for playing a vampire on a canceled TV show, a role that defined his career and, as it turns out, wasn’t entirely an act. Jim turns to a celebrity-booking app that connects forgotten stars with paid gigs. When he lands a lucrative private appearance, the night devolves into absurd chaos as his thirst for attention and blood finally collide.

Turturro co-stars as Stacey, Jim’s eccentric best friend and aspiring vampire whose chaotic energy pushes the story’s dark comedy to its limits. Together, the two spiral into a world where entertainment, ego, and potential danger take over.

A family affair, Nicholas Turturro III (The Crusades) also stars and showcases his comedy chops.

“We are excited to be a part of this!!! Halloween and laughs is always the best for a family affair” – said both father and son duo Nicholas Turturro and Nicholas Turturro III.

Mixing biting satire with blood-soaked comedy, Vampire For Hire takes aim at the price of fame and the monsters we become chasing relevance. Produced by Zevallos and Marc Chouen, the film balances style, scares, and twisted humor serving as a proof of concept for a series exploring fame, immortality, and the dark side of celebrity culture.

Other cast members include Stephanie Streisand, Mario Becerra, Daniel C, Thomas Walton, Marc Chouen, Miles Crawford, Sophia Santi, Andy Rocco, Lisa Herring, Leila Almas Rose, Alton Demore, Gabriel Biwit, Karim Benz, Freddy Giorlando, Melany Smith, Shai Frumkin, Frederick Du Rietz and Queso the dog.

Vampire For Hire premieres on October 31st on YouTube. Watch it here for free…

Vampire For Hire is executive produced by Hudson Street Films, Stag Mountain Films, and Brendan Merrill, who is a producer with A+B Media, a company specializing in creating cinematic documentary films and focusing on real-life stories.
