Jake Gyllenhaal is bruised and battered on the poster for Doug Liman’s Road House remake

January 24, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Ahead of tomorrow’s trailer drop, Amazon Studios has released the official poster for Doug Liman’s Road House remake, which sees Jake Gyllenhaal take on the role made famous by the late Patrick Swayze.

A reworking of the 1989 MGM film, this time around it features Gyllenhaal in the leading role as a former UFC athlete who takes a job as a cooler at a rough roadside bar in the Florida Keys.

The Southpaw actor will star alongside real-life MMA champion Conor McGregor, Billy Magnussen (Game Night), Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad), Gbemisola Ikumelo (The Last Tree), Lukas Gage (The White Lotus), Hannah Love Lanier (A Black Lady Sketch Show), Travis Van Winkle (Accepted), B.K. Cannon (Switched at Birth), Arturo Castro (Broad City), Dominique Columbus (Ray Donovan), Beau Knapp (Southpaw) and Bob Menery. Check out the poster below…

The official synopsis for Road House reads: “An ex-UFC middleweight fighter ends up working at a rowdy bar in the Florida Keys where things are not as they seem.”

Road House is scheduled for release via Prime Video on March 21, 2024.
