Jeffrey Dean Morgan says a Negan-focused The Walking Dead movie has been discussed

July 24, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who stars as Negan on The Walking Dead, says that AMC has discussed making a movie about his character.

The Walking Dead universe is expanding at a quicker and quick rate these days, not only with multiple spin-off shows but now with theatrically released movies, such as the one focusing on Rick Grimes.

But what else does the future hold for the franchise in terms of movies? Are there any other major characters we could see getting the big-screen treatment? Well, according to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, his character Negan might be a candidate.

Speaking to ComicBook.com at SDCC, the actor responded with the following when asked about the prospect: “I know that it’s been discussed. We gotta do it before I get any older, I mean, pretty soon I’m not gonna be able to be the young Negan anymore.”

Negan is certainly one of those characters who fans would like to learn more about so it will be interesting to see if anything comes together on this front.
