Thunder Road Pictures and Lionsgate have announced that cameras are set to roll on John Wick 2 this autumn, with the sequel reuniting directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, screenwriter Derek Kolstad and leading man Keanu Reeves.
The brief synopsis for the sequel reads: “In the follow up to last year’s adrenaline-fueled revenge and redemption thriller, legendary hit man John Wick is back.”
So, not giving much away then.
UPDATE: According to Collider, Chad Stahelski is reportedly set to direct John Wick 2 solo, with David Leitch executive producing.
Produced on a budget of just $20 million, the critically-acclaimed John Wick pulled in almost $80 million around the globe, and gave Reeves’ career a shot in the arm after the recent disappointments of Man of Tai Chi and 47 Ronin.
