Johnny Depp to star in Gnomeo & Juliet sequel Sherlock Gnomes

The Wrap is reporting that Johnny Depp has signed on to lend his voice to the title character in Paramount and MGM’s animated mvoie Sherlock Gnomes, a follow-up to the 2011 film Gnomeo & Juliet.

The sequel “takes place after a string of garden gnome disappearances in London, as Gnomeo and Juliet look to legendary detective Sherlock Gnomes to solve the case”

Both James McAvoy and Emily Blunt are on board to reprise their roles from the original movie, with John Stevenson (Kung Fu Panda) set to direct.
