Jon Hamm tells Robert Kirkman to “call me” about role on The Walking Dead

March 28, 2015 by Thomas Roach

With Mad Men coming to a close, actor Jon Hamm will soon have more time on his hands to take on other roles, and in an interview with MTV to promote the final season of the show, Hamm was asked about playing the villain Negan in The Walking Dead.

“Robert, call me. Come on,” said Hamm, referring to The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman,. “I’ve met Robert many times, he’s a lovely guy. I think he’s done wonders with that show and I know it’s very close to him, obviously. I’m always very nervous about anything about anybody’s saying ‘do this or do that’. That’s why I’m always in a hundred things all the time, because I always say yes. I don’t know, we’ll see. It would be fun, that’s for sure.”

With Negan yet to be case there is certainly time for Jon Hamm to take on the role to the pleasure of fans and creator Robert Kirkman.
