Deadline is reporting that screenwriter Scott Rosenberg (Con Air, Gone in 60 Seconds) has signed on to rewrite the script for Sony and Columbia Pictures’ Jumanji remake.
Jumanji is said to be a priority for Sony, who plan to have the movie in cinemas on Christmas Day 2016, and is said to be a “reimagining” of the original book by Chris Van Allsburg.
The original Jumanji starred Robin Williams, and was a huge hit for the studio, pulling in over $260 million when it was released back in 1995.
