Ken Leung to play Karnak in Marvel’s Inhumans

March 2, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Casting for Marvel’s Inhumans TV series is in full swing, and we have word today that Ken Leung (Lost, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) has signed on for the role of Karnak.

The cousin of Black Bolt, Karnak possesses the ability to see the fault in all things – people, plans, structures, everything – and is Black Bolt’s most ardent supporter and strategist and is often seen as the royal family’s planner and philosopher.

“Ken brings both a wisdom and a power to the role that no one else could match.  His Karnak will be awesome,” said Executive Producer Jeph Loeb, with showrunner Scott Buck adding: “Ken Leung has a great natural intelligence that reads clearly and will add depth and complexity to the very complicated character of Karnak.”

Inhumans will star Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) as Maximus and Serinda Swan (Chicago Fire) as Medusa. It is set to premiere in September, with the first two episodes receiving a special IMAX release before moving to ABC.
