Following Jodie Comer’s casting in Kenneth Branagh’s The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde earlier this summer, the Oppenheimer star has filled out the rest of the ensemble for his new film.
Per Deadline, Comer will be joined by Patricia Arquette (Severance), Michael Sheen (Good Omens), Tom Bateman (Based On A True Story), Vicky McClure (Line of Duty), Michael Balogun (Top Boy), Kristina Tonteri-Young (Warrior Nun), Karla Crome (Carnival Row), Aiysha Hart (Mogul Mowgli) and Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones).
The plot is being kept under wraps, but the film has been described as “a contemporary psychological thriller.” This will mark the first film Branagh has written since his Oscar-winning screenplay Belfast, which he also directed.
The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde is currently filming in the UK. Producing are Tamar Thomas, Laura Berwick and Becca Kovacik alongside Matthew Jenkins and Maximum Effort’s Ashley Fox and Johnny Pariseau.
