Mad Men star Kevin Rahm has signed on for a series regular role in Fox’s Lethal Weapon pilot, where he will play the role of Captain Avery, “who pairs up Murtaugh with Riggs, hoping the younger cop can put a little vigor back in Murtaugh’s career, and enjoys the corner office that came with his recent promotion to Captain.”
While the Mel Gibson role of Martin Riggs remains uncast, Damon Wayans (My Wife and Kids) will follow in Danny Glover’s footsteps as Roger Murtaugh and Fast & Furious star Jordana Brewster will play LAPD hostage negotiator and therapist Dr. Maureen ‘Mo’ Cahill.
The Lethal Weapon pilot has been written by Matt Miller, while McG is handling directing duties.
