Latest trailer for DreamWorks’ The Wild Robot crash lands online

August 9, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Universal and DreamWorks Animation has unveiled another stunning looking trailer for The Wild Robot, their eagerly-anticipated adaptation of Peter Brown’s beloved New York Times bestseller, which tells the story of a ship-wrecked robot who must learn to adapt to her wild new surroundings.

Written and directed by three-time Academy Award nominee Chris Sanders (How to Train Your Dragon), The Wild Robot features the voice talent of Lupita Nyong’o (A Quiet Place: Day One) as robot Roz; Pedro Pascal (Fantastic Four) as fox Fink; Catherine O’Hara (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) as opossum Pinktail; Bill Nighy (Love Actually) as goose Longneck; Kit Connor (Rocketman) as gosling Brightbill and Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Vontra, a robot that will intersect with Roz’s life on the island. Watch the brand new trailer below…

“The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot—ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short — that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.”

The Wild Robot is in theaters from September 27th.
