Since his starring role in 2008’s Taken, Liam Neeson has embarked on a somewhat unexpected career turn, carving out a place for himself as an action star with roles in the likes of The A-Team, Non-Stop and Run All Night. However, it seems he’s now ready to call it a day.
Speaking to Sky News at the Toronto International Film Festival, Neeson has revealed that he’s ready to retire from action films, stating that: “They’re still throwing serious money at me to do that stuff. I’m like: ‘Guy’s I’m sixty-fucking-five.’ Audiences are eventually going to go: ‘Come on.'”
Fans of Neeson’s action films do have two more movies to look forward to however, as he reunites with Jaume Collet-Serra for The Commuter [watch the trailer here], and takes on the role of a snow plow driver out for revenge against drug dealers responsible for the death of his son in Hard Powder.
