Liam Neeson to star in comedy Made in Italy from James D’Arcy

November 5, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Liam Neeson has added another project to his upcoming slate, and refreshing we don’t need to type the words “revenge thriller” anywhere near this one.

According to Variety, Neeson is set to star in the comedy Made in Italy, which marks the feature directorial debut of James D’Arcy (Agent Carter, Dunkirk) and will see the Irish actor portraying a London artist who returns to Italy with his son (Micheal Richardson; Vox Lux) to sell the house’s inherited from his late wife.

“It has been exciting to see this popular screenplay and project really mature and take shape this year; and with Liam and Micheal playing a father and son facing challenges both emotional and comedic in Tuscany, we are in for a very special treat,” said Gabrielle Stewart of HanWay Films.

Filming on Made in Italy is set to get underway in April. Neeson meanwhile will next be seen in Steve McQueen’s Widows and the Coen Brothers’ The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, both of which open this month.
