Life’s a witch for Noomi Rapace in trailer for You Won’t Be Alone

December 16, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

Following on from the success of folklore fable Lamb, Noomi Rapace is sticking with the world of European mythology for You Won’t Be Alone, a story set in an isolated mountain village in 19th century Macedonia, that follows a young girl who is kidnapped and then transformed into a witch by an ancient spirit. Written and directed by Goran Stolevski, the film is set to debut at Sundance in January, and you can check out the creepy trailer below….

Set in an isolated mountain village in 19th century Macedonia, YOU WON’T BE ALONE follows a young girl who is kidnapped and then transformed into a witch by an ancient spirit. Curious about life as a human, the young witch accidentally kills a peasant in the nearby village and then takes her victim’s shape to live life in her skin. Her curiosity ignited, she continues to wield this horrific power in order to understand what it means to be human.

You Won’t Be Alone will premiere at Sundance 2022 and is set to land in theatres on April 1st.
