Lost City of Omu coming to MMORPG Neverwinter

January 12, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have announced that the Lost City of Omu update will arrive for their free to play MMORPG, Neverwinter, on the 27th February.  This latest expansion features new adventure zones, a new endgame trial, an expanded Tomb of Annihilation campaign and gameplay adjustments.  Check out the new teaser trailer below…

The Lost City of Omu expansion continues the Tomb of Annihilation storyline and will see players seeking answers to the death curse that is gripping Faerûn by travelling to this lost city.  Adventurers will find a city of ruined temples and underground temples and a variety of new monsters that call these places home.  As expected from a long forgotten city, there will be a great deal of treasures to uncover.

Within this lost city there will be a host of repeatable adventures but there will also be Heroic Encounters such as the dreaded Tyrant and an undead T-Rex with unique attacks that will challenge even the most hardy of adventurers.  Ultimately, the goal in Omu will be to unearth the secrets of the Trickster Gods and put an end to Acererak the lich and the death curse.

As well as the above, the Lost City of Omu update will also deliver a wealth of improvements including adjustments to class powers and removal of the 60-70 leveling curve for smoother player progression.

Neverwinter is available on PC and is free to play digitally on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
