Indie developer Team APOCA has unveiled their low-poly sandbox survival shooter The Apocalypse with a trailer (see below) and the launch of its official Steam store page. Set in a stylised post-apocalyptic world, The Apocalypse will have players surviving a devastated world filled with zombies and enemies.
Taking the role of a lone survivor, players will journey through an open world filled with constant danger. Players will be able to explore abandoned military outposts, hostile ruins and mutant-infested zones while fighting back against the multitudes of zombies and enemy factions. Uncover the truth behind the downfall of civilisation while scavenging resources, building shelters and crafting weapons.
The Apocalypse uses a bold low-poly art direction that uses sharp shapes and saturated colours to create a striking devastated world. Giant mutants will roam through a world filled with rusting machinery, shattered buildings and abandoned ruins, all of which will add a unique post-apocalyptic atmosphere.
Players are offered several different game modes, including a Solo Mode for those wanting to explore and rebuild at their own pace, an Online Co-op Mode for those wanting to team up with friends, share resources and survive together, and a Creative Sandbox mode where players can unleash their architectural imagination with unlimited resources.
Featuring:
- Lightweight survival with reduced grind and faster access to main equipment and weapons.
- Dynamic events such as weather shifts, random encounters and ambushes will keep players on their toes.
- Plenty of weapons, from melee weapons to explosives, with each having a distinct tactical role.
- Resource management – balance weapon durability and ammo.
- Use the environment when creating tactics – use terrain elevation, explosive barrels and more.
The Apocalypse will be coming to Steam soon, visit the game’s Steam Page now and add it to your Wishlist.
