Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy says she loves Star Wars fan feedback and criticism

August 29, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Kathleen Kennedy, an exec for Lucasfilm, says that she loves hearing from fans about Star Wars, even their criticisms.

Being the person responsible for all the various Star Wars properties isn’t an easy task. Kathleen Kennedy has the tough job of trying to please as many Star Wars fans as possible and has experienced some major criticisms from some online members of the community.

But what does she think of the feedback? Well, speaking to Yahoo, the producer said that she welcomes it, even when its negative: “I frankly love the feedback and, frankly, the criticism. You develop a little bit of an armor, but you learn from that. It’s kind of like having a continual focus group that’s out there telling you things, whether it’s what you want to hear or you don’t want to hear.”

This certainly seems like the right attitude to take. Of course, you want to take on feedback from the fans as to what they want from Star Wars but there must also come a time when you trust your filmmakers. Hopefully, Kennedy will receive nothing but positive feedback after The Mandalorian and The Rise of Skywalker come out.
