Lucifer and Rosewood renewed for second season

April 10, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Fox has announced that it has renewed the DC / Vertigo series Lucifer and procedural Rosewood, with both shows joining Scream Queens in receiving second season pickups from the network.

“We knew we had something special with Lucifer, from the engaging performances of Tom, Lauren and the rest of the charismatic cast, to Len Wiseman’s visually stunning look of the show and the amazing storytelling savvy of the Bruckheimer team,” said Fox’s David Madden. “With Rosewood, creator Todd Harthan has put a fresh, playful spin on the procedural format, infusing it with wit and warmth, while Morris, Jaina and the show’s gifted supporting cast have turned in fantastic performances.”

According to Deadline, Grandfathered and The Grinder also look likely to be renewed, but Fox’s other first-season shows Second Chance, Minority Report, Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life and Bordertown are all facing cancellation.
