Neil Cross, creator of the BBC crime drama Luther, has signed on to pen the supernatural thriller Inside for 20th Century Fox, Variety has revealed.
The site reports that Inside is described as “The Shawshank Redemption with a supernatural element” and is “set within a modern-day secure facility that’s home to mythological creatures along with a man who’s been unjustly imprisoned.”
Cross’ Hollywood credits include co-writing the screenplay for the horror Mama, as well as penning the upcoming Escape From New York reboot, which has Robert Rodriguez attached to direct.
