M. Night Shyamalan wants to direct an episode of Stranger Things

January 18, 2017 by Robert Kojder

M. Night Shyamalan currently has his latest thriller Split opening up in theaters this weekend [you can read my review here], but his future is something of a blank slate at present. However, in an interview with Digital Spy, the director did lay out one desire:

“My boys who do Stranger Things, they did Wayward Pines for me. They were round my house and I was like, ‘Well, you can hire me back guys!’”

Shyamalan’s first foray into television, Wayward Pines, is currently in limbo, although FOX has revealed at the TCA Winter Press tour that the show could get a third season, but it won’t air this year.

Would you like to see M. Night Shyamalan directing an episode of Stranger Things? Let us know in the comments below…

The second season of Stranger Things is in production now and sees the return of cast members Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobbie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer and Joe Keery. Look for it on Netflix in 2017.
