Major League 3 is still in the works according to Charlie Sheen

May 24, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Charlie Sheen has revealed that Major League 3 is in development during a recent interview.

Major League came at the height of Charlie Sheen’s movie career back in 1989 and became a much loved baseball film in the process.

Now Sheen is reporting that another sequel is in the works with the original cast and director attached to the project.

Speaking to TMZ, the actor said “We’re looking to get Major League 3 done,” and “we’re just looking for someone to write a check.”

Sheen described Major League’s return as “a really smart story, a really great script.”

Major League told the story of Sheen’s pitcher Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn, and an underdog Cleveland Indians team that has to overcome a sabotage attempt by their owner.

The original film also starred Tom Berenger, Wesley Snipes, James Gammon, Bob Uecker, and Corbin Bernsen.

The movie was directed by David S. Ward, and spawned Major League II in 1994 and an unnumbered sequel in 1998 called Back to the Minors.
