Marvel announces more cast members for The Punisher

October 26, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Following on from yesterday’s news that Michael Nathanson (The Wolf of Wall Street) has signed on to appear in The Punisher, Marvel has now announced some additional casting for next year’s Daredevil spinoff in Daniel Webb (11.22.63), Jason R. Moore (A Lonely Place for Dying), Paul Shulze (Nurse Jackie) and Jaime Ray Newman (Bates Motel).

Webb will play Lewis Walcott, a young veteran who has had a difficult time re-assimilating into Civilian Society; Moore will portray Curtis Hoyle, a friend of Frank Castle’s and one of the few people who knows he is alive; Schulze has been cast as Rawlins, a high-ranking member of the CIA whose operations in Afghanistan intersect with Frank Castle; and Newman has been cast as Sarah Lieberman, Micro’s wife, whose marriage has made her life far more complicated.

The Punisher sees Jon Bernthal and Deborah Ann Woll reprising the roles of Frank Castle and Karen Page from Daredevil, with Ben Barnes (Westworld) as Billy Russo and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls) as Micro. It is set to premiere on Netflix some time in 2017.
