Amazon MGM Studios has released a new trailer for Masters of the Universe, the upcoming live-action reboot of the beloved Mattel toy brand, which sees Nicholas Galitzine calling on the power of Greyskull to become He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe.
The film is directed by Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings, Transformers: Bumblebee) and sees Galitzine’s Prince Adam joined in the cast by Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena and Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto. “Masters of the Universe follows 10-year old Prince Adam, who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man, the most powerful man in the Universe.”
Masters of the Universe is set for release on June 5th 2026.
