Max Greenfield joins Brie Larson in The Glass Castle

April 22, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

Variety is reporting that New Girl actor Max Greenfield is set to join the upcoming adaptation of Jeannette Walls’ memoir The Glass Castle, from acclaimed director Destin Daniel Cretton (Short Term 12).

Academy Award winner Brie Larson (Room), who worked with Cretton on Short Term 12, plays said lead in the film which tells the story of “a young girl who comes of age in a dysfunctional family of nonconformist nomads. Walls’ eccentric mother and alcoholic father would stir the children’s imagination with hope as a distraction to their poverty.”

Cretton and Andrew Lanham have written the adaptation, which also stars Naomi Watts (Birdman) and Woody Harrelson (Now You See Me 2). Filming is set to begin in June and set for release in 2017.
