Michael B. Jordan is open to making more Creed sequels

September 21, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Star of Creed II, Michael B. Jordan, has said that he is interested in making more films in the franchise.

While Creed might not have had the same cultural impact as Rocky did, the spin-off film was well received by fans and critics, leading to a second film to be made, which arrives this coming November.

But what about the future beyond that, could we see Creed III? Well, according to star Michael B. Jordan, who plays the title character and son of Apollo, he would certainly be open to the idea.

Speaking to the Toronto Sun, Jordan said: “If I’m lucky. I want to keep making them as long as they’re good. I always want to keep my finger on the pulse. Forty two years [like the Rocky franchise], I mean, who knows?”

Fans will surely want to see what Creed II has to offer before forming an opinion on if more films should follow but if it goes down as well as the first movie, it seems a likely prospect. Do you like what you’ve seen of Creed II so far?

Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.

Creed II is set for release on November 21st, and sees Steven Caple Jr. directing a cast that includes Michael B. Jordan (Adonis Creed), Sylvester Stallone (Rocky), Tessa Thompson (Bianca), Dolph Lundgren (Ivan Drago), Florian Munteanu (Viktor Drago), Phylicia Rashad (Mary Anne), Wood Harris (Tony ‘Little Duke’ Evers), Andre Ward (Danny ‘Stuntman’ Wheeler) and Russell Hornsby (Buddy Marcelle).
