Michael Cera to voice Robin in The LEGO Batman Movie, passes on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

July 16, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

Holy Superbad Batman! The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World) has joined the cast of the upcoming The LEGO Batman Movie as the Boy Wonder, Robin!

Will Arnett reprises his role as The Dark Knight for the film, which is set for release in 2017 and will be directed by The LEGO Movie animation supervisor Chris McKay from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Linconl: Vampire Hunter).

With the news that Cera has snagged the role of Robin, his rumoured link to the Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them is now dead in the water, with the actor bowing out of talks for the film.

The LEGO Batman Movie hits theaters on May 26th, 2017.
