As well as unveiling an extended sneak peek at Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 and a trailer for the fifth and final season of Star Trek: Lower Decks, Paramount+ had one other treat for fans of the science fiction franchise at San Diego Comic-Con International this past weekend with the release of a first teaser trailer for the ‘special movie event’ – a.k.a. TV Movie – Star Trek: Section 31.
Directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, the Star Trek: Discovery spinoff will see Michelle Yeoh reprising her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou, who now has to face the sins of her past after joining a secret division of Starfleet tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets.
Alongside Yeoh, Star Trek: Section 31 also features Omari Hardwick (Power), Kacey Rohl (Hannibal), Sam Richardson (Ted Lasso), Sven Ruygrok (One Piece), Robert Kazinsky (Pacific Rim), Humberly Gonzalez (Ginny & Georgia), and James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry). Watch the trailer here…
