Mireille Enos joins For All Mankind season 5

July 12, 2024 by Ricky Church

The fifth season of Apple TV+’s alternate history sci-fi For All Mankind has made a new addition to its cast. Joining the series is Mireille Enos, reuniting with her The Killing and Hanna co-star Joel Kinnaman for the third time.

strong>For All Mankind has chartered an alternate history where the Soviet Union were the ones to first land on the moon instead of America. That has challenged America to aim for loftier goals with NASA colonizing Mars and looking to a brighter future even as tension rises among the inhabitants of Mars. The series was created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi.

Enos will portray Celia Boyd, “a member of the Peacekeeper Security Force on Mars.”

For All Mankind is getting ready to expand its franchise as well with the spin-off series Star City, taking audiences back to the beginning to the space race to tell the story from the Soviet Union’s perspective of how they accomplished the moon landing first.

For All Mankind concluded its fourth season earlier this year, making a late 2025 premiere for the fifth season likely. It is unknown when Star City will begin production or its premiere window on Apple’s service.

Rocketing into the new millennium in the eight years since season three, Happy Valley has rapidly expanded its footprint on Mars by turning former foes into partners. Now 2003, the focus of the space program has turned to the capture and mining of extremely valuable, mineral-rich asteroids that could change the future of both Earth and Mars. But simmering tensions between the residents of the now-sprawling international base threaten to undo everything they are working towards.

For All Mankind stars Joel Kinnaman, Wrenn Schmidt, Krys Marshall, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña, Toby Kebbell, Tyner Rushing, Daniel Stern and Svetlana Efremova.
