Fox’s upcoming X-Files revival has secured another returning cast member, with Mitch Pileggi confirming that he’s set to return as FBI Assistant Director Skinner, posting on Twitter that “[I’m very happy to announce that Walter Skinner will once again be getting all grumpy and bitchy with his two wayward kids.”

Last month it was officially confirmed that production on six new episodes of The X-Files will get underway in the summer, with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. It is also expected that William B. Davis will return as the mysterious Cigarette Smoking Man, although his involvement is yet to be officially confirmed.
