Meet Karl Urban’s Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat II Uncaged Fury teaser

July 17, 2025 by Matt Rodgers

Ahead of tomorrow’s full trailer launch for Mortal Kombat II, Warner Bros. has dropped a fun teaser that introduces Karl Urban’s Johnny Cage in his own movie-within-a-movie titled Uncaged Fury.

The in-universe film sees the legendary Johnny Cage take on a band of goons with ease, making use of pipes, fast-paced combat skills, and an aura unlike any other.

The sequel to 2021’s pandemic affected $84 million grossing videogame adaptation, Mortal Kombat II sees director Simon McQuoid returning, along with cast members Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Lewis Tan, Damon Herriman, Chin Han, Tadanobu Asano, Joe Taslim, and Hiroyuki Sanada, with the aforementioned Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, and Tati Gabrielle joining the cast. Check out the official poster and teaser below…

“Cole Young and his allies prepare for a deadly tournament that will decide the fate of humanity.”

Mortal Kombat 2 is in theaters on October 24th.
