Moses Ingram joins Natalie Portman in Lady in the Lake limited series

June 24, 2022 by Ricky Church

Fresh off her turn hunting Jedi as an Inquisitor in Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Moses Ingram has joined Thor: Love and Thunder’s Natalie Portman in Apple TV+’s limited series Lady in the Lake.

Ingram replaces Lupita Nyong’o, who exited the series earlier this year. She will play Cleo Sherwood opposite Portman’s Maddie Schwartz.

Lady in the Lake is “based on Laura Lippman’s New York Times bestselling novel. It takes place in ’60s Baltimore, where an unsolved murder pushes housewife and mother Maddie Schwartz (Portman) to reinvent her life as an investigative journalist and sets her on a collision course with Ingram’s Sherwood, a hardworking woman juggling motherhood, many jobs and a passionate commitment to advancing Baltimore’s Black progressive agenda.”

The series is directed by Alma Har’el (Honey Boy), who wrote it alongside Sheila Wilson, Zach Shields, Vanessa Baden-Kelley, Briana Belser, Nambi Kelly, Byron Bowers and Boaz Yakin.

Lady in the Lake is developed by Apple TV+, Endevor Content, Crazyrose and Bad Wolf America. Har’el will executive produce alongside Natalie Portman.
