Movies and TV Shows That Would Make Perfect Slot Machines

January 30, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Movies and TV shows have always served as a perfect source of inspiration for slot machine designers. The Vegas Palms casino online has quite a few of them, titles like Jurassic Park, Bridesmaids, Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Battlestar Galactica (with a Jurassic World inspired slot machine reportedly in the works). Movie and TV show inspired slots are great not only to retain players but to promote upcoming movies, too – at least two of the above were released in time for their respective franchises’ revivals.

The world seems to have an unlimited supply of movies, yet the number of slot machines inspired by them is rather low. It’s a pity – fans should be able to enjoy the company of their favorite stars in a bit more active fashion. Here are a few franchises that could make perfect slot machines, bringing them one step closer to their fans’ hearts…

Deadpool & Doctor Strange

Marvel has a history in lending its most popular characters to slot machine makers. Teams and heroes, like the X-Men, the Avengers, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and even Blade have been subjected to the “slot machine” treatment in the past. Why should we stop there? Why shouldn’t we play a Deadpool or a Doctor Strange slot machine at the Vegas Palms one day?

Deadpool made his video game debut long before the movie’s premiere, and it was an insanely fun game, too – especially the two voices constantly talking to our unlikely hero. Those would make a great addition to a Deadpool slot machine.

Doctor Strange, in turn, was an amazing visual journey. Its visuals and reliance on magic would be the perfect ones to adapt to such a game.

Serenity (Firefly)

There are so many TV series – the good ones – that have left the screen too soon. How great it would be for them to return, even if only as a Vegas Palms slot machine? Serenity (not the upcoming Matthew McConaughey/Anne Hathaway movie!) is the perfect example. It has some of the most surprising heroes flying around in a zow guh-ow (crappy) spaceship, doing jobs, stealing things, and saving the world. When it comes to villains, it also did a great job – from the all-powerful Alliance to low-lives like Badger and high-profile criminals like Adelai Niska – not to mention Saffron, the con mastermind.

Torchwood

Tell me about series gone too soon! Torchwood, the Doctor Who spinoff with horror overtones, clearly meant for an adult audience, should have stayed on the air for much, much longer. Unfortunately for its fans, it will only continue to a series of radio plays (not even as a comic book!). Yet what a great slot machine it would make!

Torchwood had a great team, some amazing visuals, and an undefinable boldness to its stories. These could serve as an inspiration for one of the greatest video slot machines of all time.
