Mr. Men & Little Miss movie in the works from the team behind Paddington

December 3, 2025 by Matt Rodgers

Here’s some news to make you feel as giddy as Mr. Happy or perform acrobatics like Little Miss Somersault. The team behind the Paddington movies are set to bring the world of the Mr. Men & Little Miss series of books to the big-screen.

According to Variety Studiocanal and Heyday are developing a feature film based on Roger Hargreaves’ colourful creations, which first began publishing in August 1971.

Selling over 250 million copies worldwide, Mr. Men, who joined the Little Miss series in 1981, feature iconic characters such Mr. Bump, Mr. Tickle, Mr. Funny, and Mr. Nosey, and have been a staple part of children’s lives across the globe for generations.

Studiocanal and Heyday, who are partnering with Mister Men Limited, a Sanrio Group company, hope to capitalise on that broad appeal by making a movie that will appeal to children and adults alike.

The Mr. Men Little Miss Movie will look to expand the world of the animated series, which is currently streaming on YouTube, and has a second series that is currently in production for broadcast on television.
