Netflix could save Triple Frontier with the help of Ben Affleck and Casey Affleck

May 3, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Originally published May 3, 2017. Updated April 15, 2018.

Netflix and the two Oscar winning brothers Ben Affleck and Casey Affleck could resurrect the seemingly doomed thriller Triple Frontier.

We learnt in the middle of last month that the J.C. Chandor directed film had lost its studio Paramount and stars Tom Hardy and Channing Tatum.

But now it seems, in an exclusive by Deadline Hollywood, that Netflix is looking like the most promising new home for the project.

Not only that, but if Triple Frontier does end up at Netflix, stars Casey Affleck and Ben Affleck will be offered the lead roles, joining the already attached Mahershala Ali.

Nothing is yet set in stone, but this is certainly the news Chandor would have been looking for after what must have been a miserable time for the film.

The movie is to be set in the infamous border zone between Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil, where the Iguazu and Parana rivers converge.
