Netflix renews League of Legends series Arcane for second season

November 21, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Fresh from dropping Act III this weekend, Netflix has announced that it has handed out a season two renewal to Riot Games’ League of Legends animated series Arcane.

“We’re beyond happy about the positive response to Arcane’s first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second installment,” said co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee.

Described as a “love letter” to the League of Legends community and serving as a prequel to the video, the animated series sees Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell voicing Vi and Jinx, two sisters who find themselves on opposing sides of a war over twisted ideologies and arcane technology.

The first season of Arcane has been a smash hit for Netflix, earning praise from fans and critics alike, with FM’s EJ Moreno describing it as “the best new series of the year”. You can watch his reviews of the show over on our YouTube channel.
