Fresh from Captain America: Civil War, directors Joe and Anthony Russo are presently hard at work developing Avengers: Infinity War and its now-untitled sequel, which will bring the curtain down on Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The two-part epic is set to serve as a culmination of everything we’ve been building towards from Marvel’s previous movies; however, during an interview with IGN, Anthony Russo has revealed that they are also being eyed as a new beginning:
“I can’t get into too much detail about who we’re introducing, but these two movies are intended to be the culmination of everything that has happened in the [Marvel Cinematic Universe] since the very first Iron Man movie. In being a culmination, these movies are in some ways going to be an end to certain things, and in some ways, they’re going to be the beginning of certain things.”

Joe Russo recently revealed that the formerly-titled Infinity War: Part II will feature “some cross pollination between characters and some story arcs”, but stated we’ll not learn the new title “for quite some time”. Given these latest comments, could New Avengers be on the cards?
Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled for release on May 4th, 2018, with Untitled Avengers following on May 3rd, 2019.
