Nicolas Cage to star in new thriller Philly Fury

March 18, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

Deadline is reporting that Nicolas Cage (Dying of the Light, Kick-Ass) is set to star in the new thriller Philly Fury.

The film, written by Jason Mosberg and directed by Steven C. Miller (Extraction), is set to begin production in May. The story reportedly “revolves around a Philadelphia businessman whose deadbeat brother is kidnapped for a large ransom. When everyone involved believes the deadbeat is in on the kidnapping, the businessman must take action himself.” Cage plays a Philadelphia mobster and alleged kidnapper.

Cage is a as busy as ever, and will next be seen in Oliver Stone’s much-delayed Snowden alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley, as well as Mario Van Peebles’ USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage.

Expect to see Philly Fury in 2017.
