Nicolas Cage to star in Vengeance: A Love Story

February 9, 2016 by Amie Cranswick

Variety is reporting that Nicolas Cage is set to star in the thriller Vengeance: A Love Story from Hannibal Classics, who produced Cage’s upcoming World War II Movie USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage.

The project “centers on the aftermath of a victim of gang rape, left for dead in a park boathouse. The victim is a single mother in her 30s, and the attack is witnessed by her daughter. A policeman who is a Gulf War veteran becomes her unexpected champion.”

Vengeance: A Love Story is based upon Joyce Carol Oates’ 2003 novel Rape: A Love Story, and will see Harold Becker directing from a script by John Mankiewicz. Production is slated to get underway next month. Meanwhile, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage will hit cinemas on May 30th.
