Deadline is reporting that Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries) is in talks to join Sony’s upcoming reboot of the 1990 psychological thriller Flatliners.
The film, which is being directed by Niels Arden Oplev (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), has already cast Ellen Page (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Diego Luna (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story).
The original film saw Joel Schumacher directing a cast that included Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, William Baldwin, Oliver Platt and Kevin Bacon, and followed a group of medical students experimenting with near-death experiences in an effort to discover what lies beyond death.
