Oscar Isaac comments on those Batman rumours

March 21, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Oscar Isaac is one name that is being talked about as a possible contender for the next Batman and now he has responded to the rumours himself.

Now that Ben Affleck has stepped down as Batman, there’s a lot of talk about who might fill his shoes for Matt Reeves upcoming The Batman. Plenty of names have been bunted about, with one particular rumour naming Star Wars: Episode IX actor Oscar Isaac.

While Isaac certainly seems like a good fit for the part, what does the actor think of these rumours himself? Is there any truth in them? He spoke to Metro News (via ComicBook.com) in a recent interview and was perfectly honest:

“No. I have only read it online like everyone else. I haven’t had any conversations about Batman, unfortunately, but I am sure it is going to be great. Matt Reeves is such a great director. Yeah, he can get my number.”

Well, there you have it. If Isaac is being considered, he isn’t aware of it but it does sound like he would be interested in the role! Though, there aren’t many actors who wouldn’t love a crack at playing Batman on the big screen. Would you like to Isaac in the part?
